We stayed in a room facing the main pedestrian street. During all times of the day the street is quite busy. Our balcony door did not close completely so it was quite noisy at all times. The sink in the bathroom was draining slow and the fridge in the room did not work. All of this was forgiven and forgotten thanks to the lovely receptionists especially Carmelo! He went above and beyond and made our night by making some excellent suggestions on where to explore in the city and being overall super attentive and personal with us. Carmelo grazie!!! You are the best!
The hotel was ok-ish. We booked a room off-season so price was rather low. Nonetheless we can’t imagine paying more for this hotel. Rooms are old and very noisy since it’s on the main road, breakfast was ok, at checkout they had us pay 2,5 euro per bottle of water from the minifridge which is… a lot. Overall feeling: meh.
Simple historical hotel in the PERFECT location near the end of the main walking street in Taormina. The lobby is spacious enough for 6 guest to sit and visit. Rooms are small, clean w relatively spacious bathrooms. Linens and soaps are rich. Community balcony for 3 rooms is very spacious. European breakfast included for guest served in the quaint basement area. Kind service throughout.
We could have chosen and afforded one of the more expensive hotels in the area. We (2 couples) were so glad we did not. Perfect location and vibe while in Taormina. Rooms protected from bustling street noises...at least the rooms on the back and the ones below ground.
Like almost all hotels in the area you have to park down the hill about 500 yards away in a public parking area. Its just what you have to do in Taormina. And roll your luggage up the hill a bit. It's a bit rattling at first but it all works out with smiles.
Love this boutique hotel!
This is a TOURISTTRAP!! We booked the hotel because of the location and payd for it. When arrived we saw a paper on the Window saying the hotel was closed.. we called and they told us they moved us to a different hotel outside the city. This hotel you can still book on booking. This is really NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!
Nice hotel. We had a large room and bathroom.
Breakfast was very good, continental with excellent range of pastries, fruit and cheese and cold meats etc.
Location on the Corso in the centre of the tourist area, all round 4 star.
Absolutely in the centre of Taormina so great for exploring the town with its many restaurants etc. There is no vehicular access and so a one night stay was probably not the best having to shift all the bags from the car to the hotel along the high street. If you're staying her for a short time I strongly suggest repacking just what you need into a smaller bag
Hotel is located in the centre, next to the biggest shopping streets. Interior was great, but bathroom was quite small. Poor quality towels. Air conditioning worked perfectly. We enjoyed our view over the street.
While it is in a fabulous location, it can be a bit noisy being on the main strip at night and in the early morning. The hotel is clean, but getting a bit dated now and just misses the mark a little. We had some issues with the cleaning staff who wanted to enter our room twice before we checked out and breakfast was nice on the roof, but was shared with the pigeons and the coffee wasn't great as the machine needs a good clean. For the price it was alright. If you are in a tough situation and need a place to stay for a night it's not bad.
